Find Your Comfort

At Find Your Comfort, we engage in the creative process of self-discovery and transformation through movement, meditation, and touch. Our work is grounded in the principles of Body-Mind Centering®, a somatic approach developed by Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen that explores the intelligence of the body through experiential anatomy and developmental movement.

Understanding Body-Mind Centering®

Body-Mind Centering® (BMC®) is an embodied approach to exploring movement, the body, and consciousness. Developed by Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, it is an experiential practice rooted in anatomical, embryological, and developmental principles. Through movement, touch, voice, and awareness, we attune to the subtle rhythms and sensations of our inner landscapes. By directly experiencing our anatomy, we become more grounded in our bodies, allowing for integrated and responsive action.

What can BMC® achieve?

Through BMC® we Find our Comfort so that we are able to yield, bond, be curious and thrive in our relationships. We find ease and presence in each moment. Embodiment helps us listen to our body, be in our own knowing and be comfortable in our not knowing.

Body-Mind Centering® presents subtle and specific ways to feel our cells, tissues, and organs. We organize these body patterns through developmental movement. This in turn opens our brains and bodies to deeper and more integrated ways of being in the world.
